I took this picture in Italy and thought it captured the spirit of this week’s photo challenge. When you’re solo traveling and have the whole day ahead of you, you have so many choices. You could see the sights. You could sit on the side of a square, drink a cappuccino and watch people walking by. You can wander through quiet (or not so quiet) neighborhoods. The world is your oyster and the options feel infinite. On a slightly different note, I think that’s why I love maps. Local maps, country maps, world maps… they fuel one’s imagination and sense of wanderlust, challenging you to step outside and explore the streets you walk everyday through fresh eyes.
