One of my colleagues asked if I wanted to join them at the re-opening of one the public museum’s, which has been closed for a few months. The opening exhibition was/is one woman’s collection of contemporary Kazakhstani post-Soviet art. We actually got there a little early and wandered around for an hour with a handful of people looking at the different pieces.
Some of my favorite (or what I thought were thought-provoking) pieces are shown below. And of course, the free food after was icing on the cake. 🙂
